We offer specialized semi-annual and annual inspection and maintenance services for commercial kitchen fire suppression systems to ensure they are fully functional, code-compliant, and ready to respond in the event of a fire. 


Our process includes the following steps:


  1. Visual Inspection
    1. Checking the overall condition of the system, and verifying that no obstructions are blocking nozzles.
    2. Ensuring that all system components are in good condition, including pipes, nozzles, and manual pull stations.
  2. System Testing
    1. Testing the manual pull station to ensure it activates the system properly.
    2. Verifying the functionality of all automatic detection devices, such as fusible links or heat detectors.
    3. Ensuring the system triggers properly and suppressant agent is discharged correctly.
  3. Inspection of Gas and Power Shutoff
    1. Confirming that the system is properly connected to shut off gas and electrical power sources when activated as required by code, and testing that shutdowns do occur in proper operation.
  4. Extinguishing Agent Levels and Pressure
    1. Checking cylinder has correct pressure and suppressant agent to fully extinguish a fire in a commercial kitchen setting.
  5. Cleaning, Maintenance, & Service
    1. Cleaning nozzle tips and removing any grease or debris buildup.
    2. Replacing fusible links or heat detectors as necessary.
    3. Verifying that proper signage is in place.
    4. Hydro-testing system cylinders if they are due for service (once every 12 years).
  6. Tagging and Documentation
    1. Updating inspection tags and providing a comprehensive inspection report for fire code compliance including any deficiencies found and recommendations. We also provide system operation training for onsite personnel.
